Up Up, and AWAY!!

Hey there Folks At Home! Howard Galloway Jr. here. As I type this I am sitting in the terminal at LAX, having just come through the security checkpoint. All the bags are checked, nobody has been arrested (yet anyways), and now we're just waiting for the plane to come in. IN anticipation on the long (16 hour) flight, I have packed a small library in my carry on, as have several of the other students and parents. The plan is to change planes in Shanghai, and we will be getting into Beijing just as tomorrow is almost over. Wait...what? Well, there you have it. That's all for now, expect more from someone soon (provided the communists don't throw us in prison on some trumped-up charge, but how likely is that?)

It has been almost a week since everyone left! I hear that things have been very busy with sight-seeing and training. There was a magnificent Kung-fu performance at the Chinese Opera last week, having one performer laying on the tips of 4 spears held by 4 Kung-fu artists! There were others too, having the ability to fly through the air!

I understand that there is a pond with water lilies growing in it. The diameter of the lily pads are a foot wide! So then, how large are the lilies, themselves?

We here, back at home, are all looking forward to hearing more about this grand adventure to China! We keep you all in prayer. Thank you to Sifu Tom, and to everyone working together to make this trip possible!
